I also have noticed that if I unplug one connection so only 1GB connection is available performance stays the same. You are already familiar with that.

Were you able to test your windows system to see what performance you get? Please keep your posts relevent to troubleshooting the issue. Maybe I can compare? LUN31 is for administrative purposes and does not show up because m3000i is Disk -1 compare with Disk 2 and Disk 3.
The MDi has 2 controllers, each controller has 2 nics. The operating system of the backup server is Microsoft Windows R2 Standard edition.
